MANIK & SHIKHA
A Grand Kashmiri Pandit Wedding at Hari Niwas Palace, Jammu
Some weddings are remembered for their scale, while others are remembered for the people at the heart of them. Manik and Shikha's wedding was a beautiful balance of both. Bringing together two Kashmiri Pandit families—Shikha from Delhi and Manik from Jammu—the celebrations became a joyful reunion for loved ones who travelled from across India and around the world to witness the beginning of this new chapter before the couple returned to their life together in the United States.
Every celebration reflected thoughtful planning and understated elegance. The Mehendi Raat at Anutham came alive with rich emerald-green décor and an evening full of music, laughter and anticipation. The wedding at Hari Niwas Palace honoured the beauty of Kashmiri Pandit traditions, while the celebrations concluded with a grand reception at Amantran Farms, surrounded by family and lifelong friends.
What stood out most, however, wasn't the scale of the wedding but the quiet confidence with which Manik and Shikha experienced it. There was a sense of calm about them throughout the celebrations. Shikha carried herself with remarkable grace and poise, while together they made every moment feel effortless, allowing genuine emotions to take centre stage.
As documentary wedding photographers, these are the celebrations we love most—where meaningful traditions, elegant details and authentic human connections come together to tell a story that feels both intimate and unforgettable.
